This is Vodka!
Today I was visited by an old friend I already know from kindergarden times and it ended in a pub.
Well, ultimately it ended with me sitting at a bus stop with rain-wet pants after bringing her to the train station, but before that we were in the Irish Pixie where there were so many people that we sat down at a table were a few guys were already sitting. We shared a cider and I had an Irish Flag, a drink consisting of something green on top of something white on top of something clear orange which I suspect to be mint liquor, baileys and rum, but I'm not quite sure.
For some reason there was a bottle of Vodka on the table that must have been there already when the guys sat down, because no one knew, where it actually came from. And soon enough we also had an empty shot-glas from the Irish Flag, which, as you might think, wasn't empty for long, because at some point someone had the idea of filling it with Vodka and offering it to me.
After I declined with the reason that we didn't know what exactly was in that bottle, we started a game of passing that glass around, because actually no one wanted to drink it and offering shots of vodka to people passing by, who for some reason all took it. We rejoiced over every one who drunk a glass, but all I could think about was: "This is Vodka!" and "'Twas invented by a little old lady in Leningrad." (Although the Vodka itself was actually imported from Moscow, according to the bottle.)

Strange things happening
It's three quarters of an hour before I have to turn up for late shift an about half an hour before I have to go, a classmate of mine and my room neighbour turns up franatically knocking at my door. After I open she demands to know what shift I am working today and after I tell her that I have late shift she sais: "Alright, then you're out." and goes on to the next door, where she starts franatically knocking.
Somewhere in that scene I had a slight panic because I thought I was late or something, but that's obviously not the case.
I'm going to work now, but could someone please tell me what's going on here?

Irony of the day
Today on shift I cut my finger with bandage scissors. You know, those crooked scissors with that silly bulky tip that's supposed to make them less dangerous.
Dubble irony: I cut myself because it was to dull to actually cut through the band-aid, thus making me cut harder and finally cut my finger.

Appart from that my day was quite... ordinary. We had really much work, so much I didn't have the time to think in between about what I was actually doing and so forgot a few things, but I already had a bad feeling when I stepped out of the door today and was nearly blown away. For that it went pretty well...

Updated list: Still needing presents for:
- my older older brother
- his companion
- my younger older brother
- my dad
- his companion
- and maybe for the rest of my family like uncles, aunts grandma...

My worst problem these days: what to do with the 25th, but that's a story for another day...

14 days to go...
